The thoughts of a happy champer:
I expected it would be interesting, different, exciting & a bit of a challenge but I never expected it to make me feel so emotional. I truly feel privileged to have got to know that church, the churchyard, the steps up & the secret little paths down at the back, drunk it all in, read everything, photographed everything, slept there, eaten hard boiled eggs for breakfast there! It’s so hard to put into words how much it meant to me and how surprised I was to feel that utter delight as well as calm. I’m going to try though. I’ll try and start at the beginning and tell you all about it….”
